Boris Vallejo's impact in the world of illustration and fine art can not be overstated.  From book covers and calendars to the walls of the most prestigious collections, Boris has been a force in the art world for the past 30 or so years.

This painting was published in Boris' 1990 Mythology Calendar as the month of July.  From the calendar published by Workman Publishing, based on "A Siberian Myth: Es and The Creation.  According to the Ket people of Siberia, the world was created by Es, the Sky God, who was portrayed as a man with a white beard and long white hair.  He cleaved the first humans out of the mountains by throwing thunderbolts.  Whatever part of the mountain split to his right became a woman; whatever part split to his left became man."

The painting is in excellent condition with bright colors and wonderful detail.  A very nice copy of the 1990 calendar is included with the sale of the painting.

This painting has been SOLD! Thank you for taking a look.
